As the Head of All Hallows School, I cannot stress enough the importance of pupils taking some time off during the Easter holidays. It’s easy for both parents and pupils to get caught up in the flurry of everyday life, especially with the added pressure of deadlines and assessments looming around the corner.
We understand that school can be demanding, and that our pupils often throw themselves into every opportunity that comes their way, but it’s crucial for them to take a well-deserved break to recharge their batteries. This is particularly important for pupils who have experienced a challenging term, and may feel the pressure to keep up with their peers.
Moreover, as we approach the end of term, we often notice an increase in peer fallouts. While this is a normal part of growing up and learning how to interact with others, it’s essential that pupils have a chance to step back, relax and reflect on their relationships with others, both in and out of school.
For Year 8 pupils, the Easter holidays can also be an opportunity to undertake some limited revision in preparation for their final assessments in June. However, we encourage all our pupils to use this break as a time to engage in activities they enjoy, free from the pressure of academic deadlines or commitments. This will help them to return to school with a refreshed mindset, ready to tackle the challenges of the new term with enthusiasm.
Finally, As we approach the last term of this academic year, I want to thank you to all those entrusting their child’s education to All Hallows, and showing unwavering support in our mission to provide exceptional care and development opportunities for your children. We are proud of each and every one of our pupils and will continue to support them in their journey towards academic excellence and personal growth.
